Rooted in the philosophy of tai chi, this is a story about the journey to wisdom, balance, and inner peace.

Mo Ma, orphaned at a young age, was raised in the countryside and trained in tai chi by a devoted mentor. Haunted by his past and consumed by anger, Ma struggles to find peace. In a final act of love, his mentor sacrifices himself, hoping to free Ma from his inner darkness.

Determined to honor his mentor and fulfill his father's legacy, Ma sets out to master tai chi. He challenges Tuen Hiu-sing, leader of the powerful Chong Lung Sect, but is defeated. Driven by the loss, Ma vows to one day surpass him.

Caught in a tangled rivalry — with love interest Yin Chi-kwai and ambitious martial arts master Lui Yau-ngo adding fuel to the fire — Ma and Sing clash again and again.

As Ma pursues his dream, his obsession begins to distance him from the one person who truly understands him: his soulmate, Song Ching.
