In South Korean society, success is prized above all else. People push themselves relentlessly to get ahead — yet the country ranks among the lowest in global happiness, with one of the highest suicide rates in the world.
This drama explores the truth that money can't buy honor, power doesn't guarantee joy, and real happiness outweighs wealth, status, or influence. At its heart is a mother who chases luxury and success, and a daughter who grows up practically on her own to find her own path. Two men love them, each in their own way, as both women search for something deeper than success — happiness.
Through their stories, the series asks a powerful question: What truly defines happiness?
