This is the story of Ok Nyeo, a gifted young woman born and raised in prison. Through encounters with remarkable people from all walks of life, she gains knowledge, skills, and a strong sense of justice. As she fights for the rights of the oppressed peasant class, she also searches for her own place within the rigid caste system. Through Ok Nyeo's journey, the series highlights Joseon's proud tradition of human rights laws — laws she bravely works to bring to life across the kingdom.
