Na Ae Ra grew up thinking she was meant to be pretty, not smart. While working at her family's restaurant, she falls for Cha Jung Woo, a nerdy engineering student preparing for civil service. Dreaming of becoming a housewife, she marries him after he promises a stable future. But on their 100th day of marriage, Jung Woo quits his job to chase a startup dream. As his businesses fail, Ae Ra works multiple jobs to support them, eventually suffering a miscarriage from the stress. After four years of hardship, she divorces him.
