Ten years ago, high school student Xu Lai was pulled from the rubble of a devastating earthquake by a young firefighter, Jin Shi Chuan. Deeply moved by his bravery, she made a promise to find him again one day.
Now, a decade later, Xu Lai is a passionate news reporter, and Jin Shi Chuan has become a respected fire captain. When they cross paths during a highway accident, he saves her once again — but doesn't recognize her. To make matters worse, her report causes misunderstandings that bring public criticism to the fire department.
Still holding onto her feelings, Xu Lai tries to make amends by working as a dog trainer for the fire rescue team. As they spend more time together, she begins to see the emotional wounds Jin Shi Chuan hides. Can her warmth and determination help heal his heart — and finally bring their promise full circle?
