Niracha arrives in a remote village to work as a teacher, only to find the locals gripped by fear. Men have been mysteriously falling unconscious, and no one dares step outside after dark. The villagers blame the ghost of a widow — but Niracha doesn't believe in such things.

She meets Thodsanon, an engineer sent to survey a path to the nearby waterfall. But the villagers warn him it's dangerous — one man was found dead there under mysterious circumstances.
