Phimphika loses everything when her parents die in a factory fire. She and her younger brother, Rawi, move in with their grandfather, Ruj. To help the family, Pim secretly grazes sheep on Saran's land — an orange farmer and old friend of her grandfather. Their first meeting ends in tension.
When Rawi sells land and promises Pim to a powerful farmer to settle a debt, Saran steps in. To protect her, he pays the debt and marries her in name only. Now, Pim and Saran must live together for a year as husband and wife — whether they like it or not.
