Phimphika loses everything when her parents die in a factory fire. She and her younger brother, Rawi, move in with their grandfather, Ruj. To help the family, Pim secretly grazes sheep on Saran’s land—an orange farmer and old friend of her grandfather. Their first meeting ends in tension.

When Rawi sells land and promises Pim to a powerful farmer to settle a debt, Saran steps in. To protect her, he pays the debt and marries her in name only. Now, Pim and Saran must live together for a year as husband and wife—whether they like it or not.
